Great Gifts for Grown Ups - Part 2

Posted 2/12/2015

In the first section of my Grown Ups gift guide things were slightly more male orientated, today it's the turn of the ladies. Just a few ideas of great gifts that I would love to receive and hopefully give you some ideas if you're struggling to find that perfect something for a friend or family member, there are some classic gifts from great companies and a few things you may not have thought of that are a bit different and quirky, a lot of the gifts would make perfect additions to gift basket or hamper, I love creating hampers for people, all you need is a pretty box, shredded paper, gifts and some gorgeous ribbon.Great Gifts for Grown Ups Part 2Great Gifts for Grown Ups Part 2

Word Memories Word Art MugWord Memories Word Art Mug

I love my Word Memories Mug, the star word art is personalised just for me, Briony, Mum, Crafty. It fits a proper sized cup of tea and more recently Lemsips! It is a lovely personal gift that doesn't break the bank. It'll be even better received filled with hot chocolate!! Treaclemoon Bath & Shower Gel in Dusted Cocoa DreamsTreaclemoon Bath & Shower Gel in Dusted Cocoa Dreams

Treaclemoon Bath & Shower Gel in Dusted Cocoa Dreams allows you to give the gift of chocolate minutes the calories. I'm yet to come across a chocolate scented product that smells as much like chocolate as this one, with thick and luxurious bubbliness, it is a delightful treat in the shower. A great stocking filler this large bottle is only £2.99 and you'll find it at Tesco. A fab gift on it's own, or why not add to to a gift hamper filled with treats for someone.Arnicare Bath & Massage BalmArnicare Bath & Massage Balm

Nelsons Arnicare Arnica Bath & Massage Balm designed for massaging into tired muscles or for use in a relaxing bath, the natural properties of Arnica Montana extract and sweet scents of Lavender and Grapefruit essential oils help calm senses and relax the mind. It’s strangely been a massive hit with L, he adores it in the bath and loves a massage with it, I love it too, so you can imagine my disappointment when I found L had hidden it and I'm yet to find out where! It's £8.15 a bottle and you'll find it at Boots, Holland & Barrett, independent pharmacies and health food stores, grocery stores nationwide and online at www.amazon.co.ukSeventeen Make Up PalettesSeventeen Make Up Palettes

I'm not a massive one for Make Up but these new palettes from Seventeen have really impressed me, everything you need for eyes, lips or face in one small, easy to store and stylish looking box. With the correct brushes for the job and easy to pop in your bag when you're going out these would make a great gift for the uber stylish or just for the folk like me who like to look good in under 5 minutes! Available from Boots. Malki Dead Sea Bath RangeMalki Dead Sea Bath Range

The Malki Dead Sea bath care range has lots of lovely gift options, I like the Natural bath salts with aromatherapy oils and rose petals, very relaxing and a pretty looking gift. For Christmas it's hard to beat the spicy frankincense that both calms breathing and unwinds tense muscles. All you need is time to enjoy it! The Malki Dead Sea bath care range is now available in Boots stores nationwide and is only £6.85 per tub.Christmas Ever After by Sarah MorganChristmas Ever After by Sarah Morgan

There's not much of a better gift than a book, so why not make that book a festive one? Perfect to kick back with after the craziness of the day is done, this was an easy read, sweet and cynical all in one, a romance set in a winter wonderland. Christmas Ever After by Sarah Morgan is about artist Skylar Tempest. Things are going well with her career and she has just been proposed to. But when something dreadful happens, Skylar is left shaken and in need of time to think. The only person around to really help her Alec, not her chosen person, not at all, so she heads home to Puffin Island, Maine. I recommend reading this with a glass of wine, one more mince pie and under a cosy blanket. Olverum Luxury Bath OilOlverum Luxury Bath Oil

Back to the bath for the next idea, you may have guessed I love to relax in the bath, it's some of the only time get to myself. Yes it often involves more ducks than I'd like and often a toddler trying to climb in too, but we can't have it all. What you can have is an indulgent treat, just 5ml of Olverum Bath Oil is enough to help you relax in a big way. It contains 10 pure essential oils, blended to naturally relieve stress, help you sleep, sooth aching or sore muscles and it does wonders for your skin. All this in just 5ml!! This 80+ year old formula has gathered a cult following which is not surprising and I'll happily join in!Great gifts from PoundlandGreat gifts from Poundland

If you're after a Secret Santa gift or just a few little extras you'll find it hard to beat Poundland, I LOVE my Love Frame and the festive slippers are awesome. The slippers are similar to those you'd get free at a hotel or spa, except they look way more festive and the frame whilst plastic and very light looks amazing on the shelf. For only £1 each I'm seriously impressed with the quality and would be happy to receive these lovely gifts. Pup Cakes by NokiPup Cakes by NokiPup Cakes are fun silicone cupcake cases, great as a gift for the baker or dog lover in your family. Made by Noki they also have some other great products, such as a Pug in a Mug tea diffuser which is super cute or lovely Giraffe Straws which are really fun and great for kids (big or small) at Christmas. Loads of places stock them and they really are a super fun gift. I've created a gift basket for my pug loving sister including all kinds of little bits and bobs, original pug art, a scarf, these beautiful Pup Cakes and the Pug in a Mug Tea Diffuser, even though she doesn't drink loose leaf tea, it's too cute to resist!

Wooden puzzle from WentworthWooden puzzle from WentworthIt's a classic gift but still a good one, why not get a puzzle. I love this Wentworth Wooden jigsaw puzzle, at 250 pieces this particular one isn't the biggest but the festive scene is delightful and with the use of Wentworth's 'Whimsy' pieces, puzzle parts cut in shapes that match the theme of the puzzle, in this case letters that spell out Merry Christmas, cute! They also do tricksy little things like not giving you a traditional corner piece, but two straight edges, this will keep even the keenest puzzler happy for ages. Brilliantly made and even with a little bag to keep your puzzle in one place a perfect gift. No! No! MicroNo! No! MicroMy final pick is the No! No! Micro, if you're anything like me you've seen the adverts and keep thinking about trying it, I bet you can also think about hundreds of other things to spend the money on, like school shoes, winter coats and basically everything for other people not yourself. Christmas is the time to put something like this on your wish list! I'd love to find a No! No! Micro underneath my tree. The miniature hair removal device is pain free using heat and light technology- what’s more it’s packed inside a gorgeous metallic clutch, perfect for weekends away. With an RRP £149 No! No! Micro Travel Size Hair Removal Device is Available exclusively online at www.trynono.co.uk or by calling 0203 538 0854.
