Posie Pixie and The Snowstorm by Sarah Hill

Posie Pixie and the SnowstormPosie Pixie and the SnowstormPosie and Wibble are back with the 6th book in the Whimsy Wood series, L and I have already read the rest of the series and loved them so we were both very excited to get the manuscript for book number 6, Posie Pixie and The Snowstorm.

As I write this review we have had the ‘excitement’ of our first snowfall, there is a dusting on the ground here in Norfolk, fast disappearing, it looks like it will be another year that I don’t get to take L out to play in the snow, thankfully we’ve been able to read all about Posie’s adventures.

Posie loves the snow, her best friend Wibble the Woodlouse is not so impressed with it and it looks there is about to be a lot in Whimsy Wood, so much that for a bit Posie and her friends have to play inside her copper kettle house, after they stop the snow coming down the spout that is. They find plenty of fun games to play which could be really handy if you find yourself stuck for ideas of what to do with the kids, cuddle up and read a great book then take some of the great ideas and play some more!

I’ve had a sneak peek at just a few of the wonderful illustrations that will fill the book and they only add to the magic, they bring the books to life and are full of detail.

This book fits perfectly into the magical world of Whimsy Wood, full of nature and fun and magic! A pleasure to read and a great book for those  who have just started to learn to read, with simple yet descriptive text, loads of talking points around the book and a whole heap of nature, I really love that these books are educational as well as fun.

Icicles and tricycles! We’ve had fun reading this great little book.
